Standard Steam Locomotive Company Ltd

SSLC are manufacturing a new steam locomotive which will be capable of working throughout England, Scotland and Wales on the mainline railway network. The vast majority of the individual components for the locomotive will be manufactured in engineering works in the Sheffield area, with the assembly of the locomotive taking place within the works of CTL Seal Ltd, another holder of the Made in Sheffield mark. All work will be of a standard such that it meets with the requirements of the Office of Road and Rail and passes stringent guidelines set by the Certification Body for safe railway operations.
