The Pictorial Meadows concept was born in 2000 out of the intensive research programme by Professor Nigel Dunnett of Sheffield University; developing meadow seed mixes which were uniquely beautiful and creating a big stir in the horticultural world. Now owned by the environmental social enterprise Green Estate, the company is unique in that it not only sells its own seed mixes and PM Turf around the world – it also designs and creates naturalistic planting schemes for architects, local authorities, visitor attractions and large estates. The company found fame with their displays at the Olympic Park in 2012 and is based with Green Estate at Manor Lodge in Sheffield where visitors can view some beautiful meadows on the 14 hectare site.
